Web Video !

***Our video was recorded using a very inexpensive digital camera (some stills are from clipart). You likely have a camera similar or better than this! The idea is that you can shoot your own video clips, just the little bits and pieces we'll need. Then take some pictures and include a script (if any) that you want us to narrate and add to the video. Then, you just send it all to us by e-mail with a brief description... and we do the rest.

Your fully produced web video content should be no more than 90 seconds, so keep to the point. In the same way web visitors don't like to read a lot of text, they won't want to watch a long winded video. If you absolutely need longer or multiple video content, talk to your MULTI rep and we'll come up with a plan that works for you.

As you can see by sections of our video, still images can be animated to appear as video to which we can add professional narration. Just using a series of animated stills with narration is definitely an option (think Ken Burns style documentaries). You may already have a selection of quality still images to use, just write a script and e-mail them in for us to produce your web video.

Have fun with it. Get creative. Wow your web visitors and potential clients. Stand out from the crowd with the most affordable multi-media website, a MULTI.

Video Tips, Hints & Tricks

  • Make sure you have plenty of light. Shine light on the subject straight on to avoid face shadowing. Sunlight is good, but too much sunlight can washout your image. Slightly overcast sunlight is actually better.
  • If you need your voice to be heard on video and the microphone is built into your camera, make sure you're close to the camera and speak up. Film in a quiet setting with limited background noise.
  • Do a bunch of practice takes and look at each one for picture quality, and listen to each one to make sure sound is good. We can boost audio and tweak video quality during production in our studio, but give us the best quality you can to work with.
  • Don't worry that your video is not DVD quality. Video on the Internet has only recently reached a usable quality level. Due to myriad technical reasons, web video won't be DVD quality for quite some time.
  • Put a 5 second pause at the beginning and at the end of each video clip you record, this makes it easier for us to edit.
  • If the clip you send us has multiple takes on it, tell us in your e-mail which one you think is best.
  • Use a tripod if you can, this dramatically reduces video shakiness.
  • Don't try and add background music. It doesn't usually work very well, and you can't use any music unless you have permission of the artist that recorded it.
  • Already have a fully produced video you'd like us to turn into the web video in your MULTI? Contact us for more details on how to proceed.
